When Spark first began, the mission was simple: to create a space where young female athletes could develop their skills, grow in confidence, and be surrounded by strong, supportive mentors. Over time, that vision deepened—shaped by the girls who wore our jerseys. We sought to develop kind, driven, and resilient young women.
When I think back to those early days of Spark, I realize the vision was never just about softball — it was about becoming.
It’s clear now that the heart of Spark was never just a plan on paper — it was right in front of us all along. It was the young girl with all heart but no financial means. It was the girl overlooked because she didn’t fit the typical mold. It was the girl who gave everything she had on the field for her sisters.
Spark became the girl no one saw coming — the team that began competing at a national level out of nowhere. She was the girl who faced adversity and knocked it in the teeth. She became the next generation of women leaders — the ones who will go on to empower their communities for years to come
